Tysons Corner Circuit Race

History
For its first eight years, the Beltway Bicycle Club developed and promoted the Tysons Corner Circuit Race.  In late 2003 the club disbanded, and in an amicable transfer, NCVC took over the promotion of the event. In 2011, NCVC was unable to secure guaranteed access to the parking lots on the northern corner of Westpark and Westbranch. The event was canceled.  In 2013, with the support of the Tysons Partnership the race restarted. In 2014 it moved to a new course closer to Tysons II.

Course
GPS Coordinates of the tradtional Start/Finish Line: 38.92823, -77.22056
The course went counterclockwise on a loop comprising Westbranch Dr, Westpark Dr. and Jones Branch Dr. The finish was typically about 100 m from the turn onto Westbranch.  All of Jones Branch was downhill, and led into an uphill finish on Westbranch. In the NCVC era, the racing was on the inner lane, and the outerlane carrried traffic in the normal direction, but only one-way.
